Bikram Yoga Chelsea

There are two kinds of people in this world, ones who sweat too much and the others who do not. No matter where you fall, once you step into a bikram yoga in Chelsea class you are guaranteed to sweat too much. That is why it’s a must to come with the best possible clothes. So here are a few items to go shopping for…

1. Leggings & Shorts
First thing to note is that anything you wear in hot yoga should be on the tighter fitting side, because loose fitting clothing in a damp environment will tend to stick to you and create an uncomfortable exercise. Any leggings or shorts should be moisture-wicking so that when you are dripping sweat your clothes will absorb the sweat, dry quickly, and decrease odor smells. Make sure to avoid cotton as it will become too heavy as it absorbs moisture. For Bikram Yoga clothes, Lululemon and Aloyoga are both great places to start looking.

2. Sports bras & Tops
You should definitely look for sweat-wicking and antimicrobial sports bras so they are drying quickly on your way home from class. You want something that is super stretchy but at the same time contours to the body really well. Some tops have built in bras for added convenience. Tops that are tight fitting yet breathable are preferable so your posture form can be seen clearly by the instructor.

3. Mat & Towel
If you plan on buying your own mat make sure your mat absorbs sweat and has built in grip so you are not slipping every time you are doing a downward facing dog. For towels, it is key to get a material that can absorb a lot of moisture, also known as Superabsorbent towels. Additionally, something to keep your hair out of your face and away from your back.

When doing Bikram Yoga in Chelsea make sure to come prepared with all the items listed above and you will be on your way to a practice like no other.
