We believe that yoga is for everyone regardless of age, body type, or experience level – it’s never too late to start your yoga practice. At Hot on Yoga our mission is to provide a genuine and fulfilling hot yoga practice that will contribute to the physical and emotional health of our students. Yoga has the potential to be a lifelong practice, especially when you are encouraged to come and just do the best that you can. We offer two types of hot yoga; traditional and power vinyasa. Both are suitable for beginners, and offer multiple benefits including increases in flexibility, balance, strength, elevated mood, weight loss, and much more!
It is a common practice for yoga studios and gyms to greet you with a registration form which in essence says; “Sign up! Pay us and we take no responsibility for your well being.” We have always struggled with that being the basis of our relationship with our students. Therefore we believe that we are in partnership with you, and that if you agree to the following common sense guidelines we are certain that you will have a healthy, empowering experience that will enrich your well-being.
- No Teacher knows what your are feeling physically, mentally or emotionally.
- Listen to your body, listen to your intuition. If you are unaccustomed to this, yoga provides you the opportunity to develop it.
- Never force, muscle, or aggressively perform the asanas/yoga poses. Moderate your enthusiasm with wisdom. Be active NOT aggressive.
- Your breath is a great barometer of your practice; if your breath becomes choppy, short or strained…. it’s your bodies way of telling you to back off and take a break.
